Hopefully the TX1 blog picks up but I'll surely be posting about it.
I'm currently following dpreview, steve's digicam, and a few other forums. There's just not a whole lot of discussion about the TX1.

I looked into that DIY stabilizer. Maybe a smaller scale version will work but it would still probably take up a lot of space.
Maybe a smaller version of the Hague MMC (Mini Motion Cam) would be awesome.

The flickr group has died down considerably too but at least it's there.
http://www.flickr.com/groups/400773@N22/

Re: Canon TX1 Fig Rig?

Check out this doityourself steadycam: http://littlegreatideas.com/steadycam/
I'm thinking something like this might be cool, on a smaller scale?

Re: Canon TX1 Fig Rig?

Glad you went with the TX1, you will love it. I have 2 of them and really love the quality of the video and photos. The default stabilazation is decent, but a rig like you described would be cool. Check out http://powershot-tx1.blogspot.com/ for some more info on this kick-butt little camera.
